The Band
​Matt is a co-founder and singer/songwriter/guitarist of Hour13. He is a self taught musician who has been playing guitar since fourteen years of age. Matt knew he wanted to play guitar in a band the day he heard Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Other early influences include Metallica, Tool, and anything in the 1990's grunge realm. Matt met Nick through their mutual employment at a 911 emergency services dispatch center. After finding out that they both played guitar, they planned a drinking/jam session one evening. Matt wrote his first song, "Once Home" at 23 years old with Nick's help, and has been writing his own original music ever since. Matt is an eligible bachelor and his personal hobbies include NFL, taking baths, and wooing women.
​Nick is a co-founder and singer/songwriter/guitarist of Hour13. He too is a self taught musician who has been playing guitar and writing music of all varieties for the past ten years. Hour13 is Nicks first and only official musical project. He loves rock music but he's a huge fan of country music as well. Although Nick had no idea he would one day be a song writer, his love of music came like a storm in his teens. The first three albums he purchased were Garth Brooks "No Fences", Tonic "Lemon Parade" and Deftones "Around the Fur". As his album collection grew, so did his love of music. After graduating from a high school that removed him from the only guitar class he ever attended, Nick decided that he would teach himself to play. After several months of learning the basics, he wrote his first song at nineteen years old. Nick's personal hobbies include socializing, beer, whiskey, and fine cigars.
​Lisa is the bassist of Hour13. Lisa’s musical career started at age three when she began to play piano. She picked up the guitar at age fifteen, followed by the bass guitar at eighteen. Lisa began classical music training at an early age and this knowledge helped her transition between different instruments easily. However, bass guitar became her passion. Lisa joined Hour13 in mid 2012 and the project is her first within the rock music genre. She is largely a fan of metal and her personal style of bass play has become an integral part of the heavy hitting Hour13 sound. Lisa plays an integral role as the "business" side of Hour13. She handles the majority of financing and out of state event booking. Lisa's personal hobbies include outdoor activities and supporting musical acts.
​Aaron is the drummer of Hour13. He has been playing drums for twenty years. He moved from Arizona to Salt Lake in 2007 and met Nick and Matt through mutual employment at a 911 emergency services dispatch center. They quickly became friends and would engage in various unofficial jam sessions outside of the Hour13 project. Although Aaron is involved in several other musical endeavors he became the fill-in touring drummer for Hour13 mid-2012. His level of commitment to the project made him the perfect full-time fit when the drum position became available. He agreed to join the band officially in December of 2012. Aaron's musical influences range from jazz to pop, rap to rock, and beyond. His personal hobbies include hunting, flying helicopters, and custom drum refinishing.
